THE CREATION

DAY SIX - PART ONE:

Psalm 104:14-22 "He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, And vegetation for the service of man, That he may bring forth food from the earth, 15 And wine that makes glad the heart of man, Oil to make his face shine, And bread which strengthens man's heart. 16 The trees of the LORD are full of sap, The cedars of Lebanon which He planted, 17 Where the birds make their nests; The stork has her home in the fir trees. 18 The high hills are for the wild goats; The cliffs are a refuge for the rock badgers.
19 He appointed the moon for seasons; The sun knows its going down. 20 You make darkness, and it is night, In which all the beasts of the forest creep about. 21 The young lions roar after their prey, And seek their food from God. 22 When the sun rises, they gather together And lie down in their dens."

Isaiah 40:28 "Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable."

Sixth Creative Day:

Like day three, this creative day is distinguished by a double creative act. The production of higher land animals and the creation of man. The first part of the activities of God will be the focus of the this first part of day six. God is going to bring into existence the three types of land animals. These three kind of land animals encompass the whole animal kingdom of this class (apart from those already created on day five). These animals, like those of day five, were to bring forth after their own kind!

Text:

Genesis 1:24-25 "Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good."

Living Creatures: These terms are derived from the Hebrew, 'Nephesh Chayyah' and is best described as 'animated beings of the earth'. In the terms that follow they are placed in well defined categories, species, or classes. This is a universal application and the titles to follow are also universal classes.

They are not given for specifics as much as they are given to define the order of separation.

All creatures are not the same, this is the will of God. God obviously delights in variety. He also delights in function, thus each created creature is necessary and has purpose to the order of God's design. Every single creature made by God is not listed for the simple reason that God knew everyone who read this account of creation may have a different view of specific creatures. So He describes the classes and allows the reader to reference their own knowledge of the creatures that surround them (thus, we do not have to have a degree in animal science to comprehend). Finally, no creature can be different than its individual created nature allows it to be!

Cattle.

This is the Hebrew word, 'Behemah' or the 'dumb animal'. It best describes the large grass or vegetation eating quadrupeds (having four feet).

Creeping Thing.

This is from the Hebrew, 'Remes' and refers to the smaller animals that move with or without feet and at times may be scarcely perceptible (to include worms, insects, reptiles, etc...).

Beasts of the Earth.

This is the sole Hebrew word, 'Chayyah' that we found combined earlier in "Living Creatures". It simply means, 'of the earth'. It is here describing the wild, roving, and carnivorous beasts; each in its comprehensive order.

All of these categories were brought about in its specific, fully generated nature by the will of God. They all qualify as earth born creatures!

God Made: Here we have the Hebrew term 'Asah' , which means created from something (thus formed from existing matter). In Chapter Two and Verse 19, Moses stated as he revealed a review of the events of day six, that God formed these creatures from the ground.

Modern evolutionists and many scientists believe that they can conceive life; however, they have never been able to demonstrate this form of conception, life from lifeless matter. This is once again the exclusive domain of God!

According to Its Kind: A creatures highest function is to act in accordance with the nature that God has assigned it (including man). The creatures of God were not made to change, but to fulfill their specific purposes.

1 Corinthians 15:39 "All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds."

Each originating from the first as God made them. Not from a single cell and constant evolution as some suggest. The only universal thing life shares is its creator; GOD!

It Was Good: God examined and judged, investigated the nature of His creation, tested the properties, contemplated its uses, admired its excellence in correspondence to His Divine plan and pronounced it GOOD!

Summary: In the first part of day six, God occupies dry land with its perspective residents (everything after its own kind).
